New Englands Best Return to North Woodstock For The Biggest Race of The Summer at White Mountain
As the White Mountain Motorsports Park enters its second half of the 2026 race season, some of the biggest shows are in the line up. Last Saturday night the stars of the Thunder Road International Speedbowl and American Canadian Tour took on the weekly White Mountain Late Models in the CSV Motorsports/Passumpsic Bank Kancamagus 112. The Walls’s Ford Platinum Series second race is always scheduled one week before the biggest Late Model event of the summer. Giving the locals, and the touring teams one last shot before the big dance. Jesse Switser top runner on the Milton CAT American Canadian Tour in 2026 was one of the favorites going into last Saturday’s showing, but Kyle Goodbout the White Mountain regular has been on a hot streak as of late and wasn’t going to let the outsiders take his glory. Goodbout ran away with the win two weeks ago on NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Sunday to claim his second win of the season. On Saturday the Jones Motorsports 17nh team brought a rocket to the park for the longest distance weekly event on the schedule. Goodbout kept that momentum going and took down his first Walls Ford Platinum Late Model Series victory in the Kancamagus 112 over ACT star Jesse Switser and former track champion Kasey Beattie. Goodbout is set to take on the ACT faithful this weekend in the Midsummer 250.

Heading into tomorrow’s Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 for the American Canadian Tour, lots of names have been thrown around as to who will be on the property. Thirty-Two teams have already pre-registered for tomorrow’s show including former 250 champions DJ Shaw and Jesse Switser. Shaw on a part-time ACT campaign in 2026 is set to make his second start of the season and first since the Community Bank N.A. 150 at Thunder Road back in May. Shaw the only repeat winner in 250 history will try and go for his third win of the big event. Swtiser the 2023 winner of the event had to do it the hard way by advancing into the main event by winning the Last Chance B-Feature, and coming from the shotgun position to win the Midsummer 250. Dillion Moltz who brought the car out last Saturday to White Mountain to tune it in has officially pulled his entry from Saturdays 250. Other winners of the event such as Eddie MacDonalad, Wayne Helliwell, Jason Corliss and last year’s victor Raphael Lessard will not be in attendance in search of their second wins.

Four ACT champions will be in the hunt for the hardware tomorrow night, including DJ Shaw, Nick Sweet, Gabe Brown and Brian Hoar. Brown the two-time Wall’s Platinum Late Model Series Champion and last year’s Fall Foliage 200 winner is set for glory in the biggest ACT race of the season. Nick Sweet the “King of Barre” the 2016 ACT Champion would want nothing more than to add the Midsummer Classic 250 to his resume before calling it a career. Brian Hoar the most successful American Canadian Tour driver made his return to part time Late Model racing a few seasons ago would like to add his name on the list of past 250 winners.

The Flying Tigers, Strictly Minis, NELCAR Legends and Kids Division all join the ACT Late Models on the biggest day of the year at the White Mountain Motorsports Park! Luke Peters continues to show up and dominate when the Flying Tigers are on track as he scored his fifth win of the season last Saturday night, Kyle Willis and Cam Ouellette look to take him down this Saturday in front of the big crowd. Tyler Thompson took home his second win of the season last week as the points battle stays extremely close in the Strictly Minis with Donnie Baumgardner leading the way by just two points over Jacob Roy.
